The Kingston College Board of Governors has approved Robert Kelly for the position of plant manager at the school.
Robert Kelly returned to Jamaica in December of 2010 after living in Springfield, Massachusetts for 36 years. He served as President of the KCOBA New York chapter from 1995-1997 and from 2005 to the present. After landing, he immediately went to KC and started working on various refurbishment projects.
The need for a plant manager has been discussed often over the years and this appointment comes at a critical period with projects such as the long awaited expansion of the Douglas Forrest building and the Pavilion renovation about to take off.
Expectations are high as Kelly will now be the KCOBA man on the ground at the school on a daily basis. He is acutely aware of the frustrations in obtaining project status and will no doubt place a high priority on keeping all stakeholders apprised of developments in regards to physical plant improvements at KC.
