On Friday April 29, the Kingston College Chapel Choir brought the Easter season to a close with a vintage luncheon concert performanace at the Bank of Jamaica Auditorium in downtown Kingston.
Choirmaster Audley Davidson with accompanist Ann McNamee, led the choir through 14 selections of classical to contemporay songs . The packed auditorium estimated at about 500 ,received with applause ,pieces ranging from Spevack's Jubilance,Schubert 's Sing to the Lord ,Gershwin's I Got Plenty O' Nuttin,Frank 's Panis Angelicus,Hariston 's Poor Man Lazarus, Quilter's Non Nobis Dominue and Hande'ls Hallelujah.
At the intermission,chairman of the choir management committee, Dr Peter John Gordon informed the gathering of the policy of expanding the repertoire and hence the audience was not surprised with the inclusion in the choir's offering of Jah is my Keeper,Ride on King Jesus,Joyful Alleluia,I Gonna Sing and Battle Hymn of the Republic.
The recently completed album of the choir was on sale after the concert.
