On Tuesday, April 19th, both the Melbourne and North Street campuses hosted the finals of their respective Interform Quiz Finals before engaged audiences.
At Melbourne where the quiz is name for distinguished KC Old Boy Churchill Neita, quiz master Twan Beckford reminded the audience that the Inter-form Quiz competition marked its 10th year on the campus. The Justin Henry led 8 DeCarteret just held off 8 Francis 25-24 whilst in the battle of the 7th grades, the Roland Douglas coached 7 Hardie romped home with a spirited 24-19 victory over 7 Francis. Roland’s sibling, Rhajae, combined with former member of the 2009 victorious Windward Primary Junior Quiz championship team, Densley Williams, to beat back the formidable challenge of 7 Francis led by inspirational captain and 4th place national spelling bee champion Gifton Wright.
In the teacher’s segment, the jury is still out as to whether the male teachers edged out their female counterparts 25-24.
Over at North Street where the three sets of finalists came under Quiz master Valmore Stewart’s starting order, 9 Clark held off 9 Francis34-33 whilst both 10 and 11 Forrest romped home with comprehensive victories of 50-29 and 42-27 over 10 and 11 Francis respectively.
