KCOBA USA’s First Summit

Kingston College USA Inc., the New York Chapter of the Old Boys’ Association, recently held their first Summit in Springfield, Massachusetts. The event which was graciously hosted by President Robert Kelly and his family was well attended; fourteen officers and directors were present. The Summit was organized to assess the current state of the organization and to formalize plans to take the organization forward was thought necessary, because the association is in transition.

Robert Kelly, President of the Association for the last four years indicated at the AGM in August that this would be his last year at the helm and this event was necessary to facilitate the seamless transition to the next generation of leaders. Over the last three years the association has seen the emergence of several graduates from the ‘80s, and this group will be instrumental in taking the association forward, importantly, this group will be the link between older graduates (pre-80s) and alumni from the 90s and later.

Coming from the meeting several decisions were taken that the board is confident will be the impetus for growth and the strengthening of the association’s base. The minutes and action items from the Summit are included here:
