KC Academic Vice Principal - Juliet Wilson
Over 50 scholarship awards were presented to existing KC students in an awards ceremony held on September 20, 2013 in the St. Augustine Chapel on the North Street campus.
After opening remarks by Vice Principal Juliet Wilson, Canon Abner Powell, Chaplain led the assembly in prayer. Principal, Dave Myrie then welcomed everyone and gave his remarks.
Brief histories of the New York and Atlanta (George Thompson Memorial) scholarships were presented by Vice Principal, Marguerita Douglas-Hall and Guidance Counsellor, Sonia Watson respectively.
The awards were presented to the students by Principal, Dave Myrie and Vice Principal, Everton Burrell.
The majority of the scholarships were funded by the New York chapter of the KC Old Boys' Association. This was followed by the Atlanta chapter's George Thompson Memorial scholarships. Tastee Jamaica Limited funded three scholarships. Other scholarships included the Ronald Stephenson Memorial, the Clinton Clarke Memorial, the Andrew Grant, Wilson Saunders, Joy Lounds and Robert Taylor scholarships.
At the conclusion of the morning's programme, the vote of thanks was given by awardee, Kadeem Campbell and closing remarks by Vice Principal, Marguerita Douglas-Hall.
