The George Thompson Memorial Scholarship Fund is planning to double the number of scholarships awarded to students at Kingston College in the 2014/2015 academic year. Ten awards were made to students his year.
Funding for the awards comes from donations and Atlanta’s Annual Scholarship Fund Dance held in December.
This year a matching donation pledge of US$1,500 has been made by KCOB Noel Spencer of Spencer’s Financial. His company will match a total of $1,500 from the first 20 donors provided the funds are received prior to December 7, 2013.
Noel Spencer is a Life Director and former president of the NY Chapter who is a registered representative and also an insurance agent licensed in NY and NJ. The services provided by his company include tax management, investment management, retirement strategies, estate conservation and insurance and annuity products.
