Ten Teachers Honored at 2019 Prize-Giving

Kingston College honored ten teachers at the 2019 Prize-Giving on Friday, December 6th at the Jamaica Conference Center in downtown, Kingston. They are:

MISS NICOLA MORGAN - Teaches business and also works with the sports teams. Manages the athletes at all track meets, Champs & Penn Relays. She is also a member of the Football Management Team. She introduced the teaching of CAPE Entrepreneurship to the school. The subject enjoys a 100% pass rate. She is also the acting Grade 11 Coordinator.

CHRISTOPHER BROWN - A KC Old Boy, he teaches English and Spanish in addition to being the school's Exam coordinator. He is responsible for ALL CXC Exam matters as well as ALL internal exam matters.

REV'D FR. MICHAEL BROWN (KC Old Boy); the school's Chaplain and head of Physics. Physics (CSEC & CAPE have seen significant improvement under his leadership.

MISS RACQUEL HOGG - Teaches Information Technology and is the resident RENWEB (school's online report system) expert and trainer.

SHAKAZANI KARENGA - Heads the Math department and is credited with fostering a love of math at the school. The Math grades throughout the school have drastically improved under his leadership. (CSEC 2019- 93.5%)

FLOYD POWELL - Head of the Information Technology department which produces excellent pass rates every year.

MRS. KARYN QUALLO - Head of the French Department which, under her leadership, has seen significant improvement in the CXC Exams over the last few years.

MISS EMILY REDWOOD - A History teacher known for being a hardworking, very supportive and reliable member of staff.

MISS LOUSIANA VERNON - A teacher of English Language & Literature; she is the consummate professional who is dependable and dedicated.

MRS. ANJELICA NEMBHARD-TAYLOR - A fairly new member of the Mathematics Department who has been doing a good job. She immediately took on the Drama Dept which was without a Faculty Advisor and works with the students who compete in the annual Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) festival competitions. They have won several medals under her guidance.
