It is a great honor to continue my service as the President of The Kingston College Old Boys’ Association of Georgia, Inc. (KCOBA GA Inc.) for 2024.
Reflecting on the year 2023, KCOBA GA Inc. has much to be grateful for. With the generosity of the Fortis Fraternity and the Atlanta community, we were able to change the lives of some of Jamaica’s future leaders.
Under my leadership, the organization will continue to provide resources in preparing youth with competence, conscience, compassion, and commitment to the advancement of Jamaica and the Atlanta community.
Some of KCOBA GA Inc.'s 2023 accomplishments include;
- Awarded over $1,750,000 JA in scholarships to 35 students from Kingston College, Holy Childhood, Manchester High, and Belmont Academy, valuing $50,000 JA each.
- Provided White Marl Primary with five computers and $200,000 for resources towards the guidance counselor behavioral health initiative.
- Completed renovation of the Kingston College Cadet Corp HQ, estimated at $1,500,000 JA, of which $300,000 came through KCOBA USA and $180,000 through KCOBA UK.
- Other Kingston College programs, such as sports programs, welfare programs, Choir, and teachers’ appreciation, are valued at over $1,400,000 JA.
- Several volunteer hours were invested in reading to students not fluent in English, a program championed by Integrity Children's Fund.
