Meet Kai'Den Evering, a gifted young singer who has swiftly become a standout member of the prestigious Kingston College (KC) Chapel Choir. Despite being only a Grade 6 student at Excelsior Primary School, Kai'Den is already in his third year with the choir, serving as a talented treble soloist.

Kai'Den's journey with the choir began when Director Audley Davidson, renowned for his keen ear for talent, strategically sought to secure exceptional young trebles. Davidson's discerning eye for talent led him to Kai'Den, who was granted special permission to join rehearsals and performances due to his older brother's membership in the choir.

Recognizing his exceptional talent, KC's principal Dave Myrie allowed Kai'Den to participate even before officially starting at Kingston College, where he will enroll in September.

Kai'Den's remarkable voice has garnered significant attention. During the choir's annual Christmas concert at St. Augustine's Chapel, distinguished guests included the UK High Commissioner to Jamaica, Judith Slater, and her husband. Principal Dave Myrie personally greeted the High Commissioner and introduced Kai'Den, who impressed her with his performance. Consequently, High Commissioner Slater invited Kai'Den to sing at the British High Commission.

Judith Slater, the first female British High Commissioner to Jamaica, boasts an impressive diplomatic career. Her previous roles include Consul-General in Istanbul and Her Majesty's Trade Commissioner for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, overseeing 14 markets.

Kai'Den's invitation to perform at the British High Commission testifies to his extraordinary talent, the exceptional training he has received under Davidson's guidance, and the high esteem in which the KC Chapel Choir is held. The significant support and encouragement from his parents have also played a vital role in Kai'Den's development as a young artist. Their interest in his musical pursuits has helped foster his passion and dedication to singing.

As Kai'Den prepares to officially join Kingston College, he continues to shine as a rising star, embodying the spirit of excellence that defines KC.
