Founder’s Week Activities in Jamaica

The 86th anniversary of the founding of Kingston College was celebrated by a week of activities in Kingston from April 10th through April 16th, 2011.

The week commenced with a thanksgiving Service on Sunday April 10th at St. Augustine’s Chapel followed by a Brunch on the North Street Campus. 

On Monday, April 11th, Old Boys visited the school and talked with students in their classrooms. 

The Bishop Gibson Lecture was delivered by KCOB and former headmaster, the Rt. Rev. E. Don Taylor, at St. Augustine’s Chapel on Wednesday, April 13th. 

Saturday, April 16 was designated as Fortis Day and featured a range of activities including a Sports Extravaganza at Clovelly Park led by the old boys  in cricket, football, basketball, table tennis among others. In the evening there was a Grand Founder’s Day Party at Curphey Place in Kingston which featured Fab 5 and Merritone.
