Representatives of the RuJohn Foundation visited KC over the summer.  The foundation is one of KC’s major benefactors.

The group that visited KC included Byron Bachelor, Andrew Bachelor and NBA players Reggie Evans, Andray Blatche and John salmons. They were accompanied by Audley Hewett of the Florida chapter on a tour provided by Principal Dave Myrie.

They were on the island for the foundation's awards banquet held at the Knutsford Court Hotel in June. Some 25 students and schools across the island were awarded scholarships, cash, computers, sporting equipment and school furniture at the event attended by Prime Minister, Portia Simpson-Miller.

The RuJohn Foundation was established in 2003 by KC Old Boy Byron Bachelor and his wife Ingrid, a Wolmerian, in honor of Ruth and John Tulloch, Ingrid’s parents. Byron attended KC during the 1970s and ran track in Class I specializing in the 400 meters.

In recent years, the foundation has contributed to several initiatives at KC including the refurbishment of the KC basketball court and was the major contributor to the Pavilion project at North Street.
