Dr. Warren Blake to receive Sir Philip Sherlock Award

Distinguished KC old boy and President of the JAAA, Dr Warren Blake, will receive the Sir Philip Sherlock Award at the 20th Annual International Diabetes Conference on Friday, March 28, 2014.

He is receiving the award for "distinguished service to the development of sports and sports medicine in Jamaica".  The award is named for the late Sir Philip Sherlock, former principal of the University of the West Indies, Mona, nation-builder and cultural icon. 

On receiving his award, Dr Blake will deliver his distinguished lecture on "Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation".  Warren has distinguished himself through his service and professional practice. 

He has been JAAA's president since 2011, a founding  member of the Jamaica Association of Sports Medicine and the chairman of the Medical and Anti-doping Committee for the JAAA, among others.
