COWI subsidiary Ben C. Gerwick appointed KCOB Winston Stewart, P.E. as President and Managing Director.
Dedicated to excellence in marine and civil engineering, Winston brings over 35 years of experience in civil, geotechnical and environmental engineering to the company.
Winston has also previously worked as Chief Operating Officer for Multi-Energy Group, LLC and as Georgia Regional Engineer for QORE Property Sciences (now SM&E).
"Gerwick is the go-to firm for marine engineering for governments, agencies and contractors that require expert problem solving, efficient solutions and leading-edge engineering to win jobs. Gerwick has demonstrated this again and again as witnessed by its repeat customer base and standing in the engineering community. As a leader in the company, I look forward to contributing to Gerwick's continued growth," says Stewart.
Reaching new markets
Most recently, Winston worked as Principal Civil-Geotechnical Engineer at URS Corporation, where he led a group of 35 engineers as Project Construction Manager on the USD 130 million Columbus Upground Reservoir Projects. Winston is also one of the few engineers of record under the Georgia Department of the Natural Resources Dam Safety Program.
"We are extremely pleased that Winston will be contributing to the vision and direction of Gerwick at a time of growth for the company and marine engineering services. Winston has broad management experience with dynamic US market and State-based infrastructure insight, and he will be a valuable addition as we expand Gerwick's reach to new domestic and international markets," said Steven G. Hunt, President of COWI North America.
