KC’s principal, Dave Myrie recently received a US$10,000 check towards the planned synthetic track to be installed at the school’s Melbourne campus.

The check was the contribution of Old Boy Noel Spencer and his wife, Dr. Patricia Miller-Spencer. The couple were in Jamaica and made the presentation at Myrie’s office at KC. Also on hand to witness the donation were Maurice Weir of KCOBA Jamaica and Audley Hewitt of the Florida chapter.

The cost of the track is estimated at US$400,000 and that’s just to install the running track. The overall project including equipment could top US$500,000.
