Hansle Parchment took the Gold medal in the men's 110m hurdles at the Tokyo
Olympic Games recently in a surprising upset in which Jamaica took Gold and
Bronze medals.
Parchment is no stranger to the Olympic podium having won the Bronze at the
2012 London Olympics.
He has the distinction of being the first local-based Jamaican to win a
national sprint hurdles title, the first university student to qualify for
the Olympic sprint hurdles and the first Jamaican University Games hurdles
Champion.
Parchment attended Morant Bay High for several years before attending KC in
lower sixth.
The previous Olympic hurdles champion Omar McCloud also attended KC Old Boy
he captured the gold in the Rio games.
