KC Old Boy is First Briton in a men's Olympic 100m final in 21 years

Zharnel Hughes took home a silver medal along with his British teammates in 4x100 meter relay at the Tokyo Olympics.

Earlier he felt devastated by his false start in the 100-meter final.

He won the gold medal in both the 100 meters and 4 x 100 meters relay at the 2018 European Championships representing Great Britain, and in the 4 x 100 meters relay at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, representing England.

Born and raised in the British Overseas Territory of Anguilla. His family is Jamaican on his mother's side.

He was awarded a scholarship in 2012 to attend the IAAF's Regional High Performance Training Centre in Jamaica and began to attend Kingston College.

At the 2014 Champs, the annual Inter-Secondary Schools Boys and Girls Championships held in Kingston, he broke Yohan Blake's meet record for the 100 meters with a time of 10.12.
